Recycle Coach is a new, user-friendly tool and platform to help make waste management and recycling easier for residents. This tool is free for all Illinois residents and sponsored by the Illinois EPA. You can also download the Recycle Coach app on your smartphone!
Use the tool below to learn what items can go in your curbside recycling bin, which items should be taken to a drop-off location, and which items cannot be recycled.
How to Use the Recycle Coach tool below:
1. Choose your area by selecting your municipality or county.
2. My Schedule will display your trash and recycling schedule if your municipality is enrolled in Recycle Coach. Reminder: RICWMA is not a recycling or garbage hauler.
3. Select the What Goes Where button.
4. Describe the item and select it from the search results.
5. Find drop-off locations and learn how to manage the item.
6. Select Discovery Zone to take a quiz and learn more.
