Bulky Waste
Large items that cannot go in garbage cans or bags for regular garbage collection, such as couches, chairs, and tables, are called bulky waste. Some communities offer a once-a-year special pickup for bulky waste items. Others have designated days during the year for bulky waste pickups. To find out what your community offers and/or arrange for a pickup, contact your public works department listed on our [ who to call ] page.
If your community does not offer bulky waste pickups or you live in an unincorporated area, you can dispose of your bulky waste items at area landfills for a fee. For contact information, hours of operation, and locations, visit our [ landfills ] page.
